Instructions
The batch import feature allows you to import a large number of ads in 1 shot. In order to use this feature, you must prepare an import zip file by following the instructions below:
1- Download the following zip: Click here to download template
2- Open the downloaded zip file by double-clicking on it. Your operating system should automatically open the file with an unzipping utility. If your operating system complains about the file format, or the file does not open, you will need to download and install an unzipping utility program, such as this one here.
3- From your unzipping utility, select the "Extract" function to unzip the file, and navigate to the extracted files
4- In the extracted folder, you will find the following:
- newImport.csv
- categories and subcategories guide.csv
- conditions guide.csv
- manufacturers guide.csv
- saleType guide.csv
5- The newImport.csv file is where you will fill out all the information you wish to import. Open the file, and follow the following rules:
- Columns A to V contain the basic information of your listing, you should fill out as much of this information as possible.Do not delete any of these columns, you may leave their values blank if you don't want to provide values for a specific ad
- Column S contains your unique dealer ID, make sure you enter the correct ID in that column
- Column F contains the price of your vehicle, only include numbers in this column, no $ signs, or any other non-numeric value
- Columns T and U contain the category & sub-category that your ad will be associated to. You must enter the numeric value associated with the category and sub-category you want as provided in the categories and subcategories guide.csv document
- Column K contains the sale type. You must enter the numeric value associated with the sale type as provided in the saleType guide.csv document
- Column O contains the sale type. You must enter the numeric value associated with the sale type as provided in the manufacturers guide.csv document
- Column J contains the sale type. You must enter the numeric value associated with the sale type as provided in the conditions guide.csv document
- Column W contains the custom properties that you wish to add to you ad ie key1=value1&key2=value2
- Column X contain the ad photos separated by - (dash) and the images must be in the new import folder
6- Finally, once you have prepared your newImport.csv file and put the images in the same folder click control + A to select all files and zip them all with the name newImport.zip (if you use winrar for example you will do right click and select add to archive then choose type zip and name it newImport.zip)
8- Upload your file using the "Browse" button on this screen, then click on import. Depending on the number of images you are importing, this process may take up to several minutes.
